Barry discusses the account of the woman caught in adultery brought before Jesus when He says "If any one of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone at her." (NIV). Sexual sin is taken seriously by Jesus, however, He loves her, and offers her the chance of redemption. We cannot condemn people for their sin, nor should we be blind to the fact of our own sin, but should humbly reach out to people in love. (Sorry it's late) |

Barry speaks on these verses which discuss the experiential side of becoming a Christian through the pouring out of the Holy Spirit. The Spirit gives the assurance of God's love and of salvation, takes away the fear of death, gives power to witness to Jesus and will flow out and bring blessing to others. Anyone who comes to Jesus and receives him as the Son of God and submits to him will receive the Holy Spirit and have their sins forgiven. |
